With great snow and visitors flocking to the mountains, it is truly a special time to be here in the Vail Valley. While here, enjoy everything the area has to offer – from holiday markets to concerts, recreational opportunities, and time with friends and family. Some of our favorites are listed below but if you want even more, please reach out anytime! One “can’t miss” spectacle are the Ice Castles at the Eagle Fairgrounds. We’re closing the year with great momentum going into the New Year. Despite sluggish sales around the country, the market has remained very active with sales in the valley increasing 9% compared to this time in 2023 and dollar volume slightly higher as well. Of note, inventory continues to trend above last year by about 12% and the feeling throughout the valley and country is that there should be more available in the coming year, which should result in an active market to start 2025.

December 27th | 6:00 p.m.
Skiers dressed in traditional 10th Mountain Division Ski Trooper uniforms perform a Torchlight Ski Down to the base of Gondola One, followed by a parade of military veterans, also in traditional uniform, marching from Gondola One down Bridge Street, across the Covered Bridge and finishing at the 10th Mountain statue.

December 31st | 6:15 p.m.
Join the Vail Ski and Snowboard School for the annual nighttime torchlight ski-down parade at Golden Peak. Watch one of the most spectacular sights on the mountain as the instructors ski in formation down Golden Peak with flares! The fireworks show will follow the torchlight parade.

December 31st | 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
The Town of Gypsum and Mountain Recreation celebrate the New Year at the Gypsum Recreation Center. Events will start off at 4:30 p.m. inside with some crafts and family activities. Fireworks will be at 6:00 p.m.

January 18th | 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Gather your friends and family for the third annual Fireworks in Avon. Enjoy free hot cocoa and peppermint schnapps, the famous Beaver Creek Resort chocolate chip cookies (limited quantities available), and a special performance by the Battle Mountain Drumline.
